Last updated: 3 August 2026Who is responsible
BaryCon is responsible for personal data collected through this website. Depending on the engagement, the relevant BaryCon contracting entity will be identified in the proposal or agreement. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to contact@barycon.com.
Data we may receive
We may receive contact details and professional information that you choose to provide by email, telephone or through a business relationship. With consent, website analytics may include page views, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source and interactions with contact links. Please do not send confidential project information through an initial website enquiry.
Why we use data
We use personal data to respond to enquiries, assess project and career opportunities, deliver and administer professional services, maintain security, comply with legal obligations and improve our website. Depending on the context, our legal basis may be steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, a legal obligation, legitimate interests in operating and developing our business, or your consent.
Analytics and cookies
The website uses essential local storage to remember your privacy choice. Google Analytics is loaded only after you select ‘Allow analytics’. Analytics uses first-party identifiers to distinguish visits and helps us understand website performance. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation remain disabled in the current configuration.
Sharing and international transfers
We share data only when reasonably necessary with service providers supporting hosting, analytics, communications and professional operations, or when required by law. BaryCon works across the United States and Europe, so data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards.
Retention
We keep enquiry and business records only as long as needed for the purpose for which they were collected, to meet contractual or legal requirements, and to establish or defend legal claims. Analytics retention is controlled in Google Analytics and should be reviewed periodically.
Your choices and rights
You may decline analytics without losing access to the website and can reopen Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and you may withdraw consent. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority.
Security and updates
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, but no internet transmission is completely secure. We may update this notice when our website, services or legal requirements change.
